What is Burns’ Nicht?
A Burns supper is a celebration of the life and poetry of the poet Robert Burns, the author of many Scots poems. The suppers are normally held on or near the poet’s birthday, 25 January, occasionally known as Robert Burns Day but more commonly known as Burns’ Nicht.
Entertainment includes all of the usual favorites:
Pipes and drums, Scottish Highland dancers, Scottish Country dancers, Celtic music, various toasts, the piping of the Haggis, dinner and dancing, and silent auction! This year’s event will be held Saturday, January 31, 2026. This is a formal event, highland wear or formal/semi-formal. We will be celebrating at Mikulski Hall, 509 Schertz Pkwy, 78154, in Schertz.
Doors will open at 5:00 PM for cocktail hour, entertainment starts at 6:00 PM, and Auld Lang Syne at 11:00 PM.
Parking is free.
